On the 1st of February 2011 Sky1 HD launched a new logo and new presentation. Five idents were introduced each featuring a large mirrored 1 which reflects the surrounding environment. At launch all the idents shared the same soundtrack. On the 10th of March 2011, each ident received its own unique soundtrack. Each of the idents use a real chrome dipped and hand crafted mirrored 1 which was then manipulated in post by the Moving Picture Company. Directed by Guy Soulsby in accosiation with thinkmake the idents are scheduled to continue broadcasting for the next 12 to 18 months. Since then cheap additions have been added for Sky1's homegrown sitcoms 'Trollied' and 'The Café' and the hit US show 'Glee'. These new idents don't feature the chrome '1' just a simple sky1 logo place in-front of the footage. In December 2011, a surprisingly nice ident for 'Treasure Island' was created featuring a very tall crome '1'. In early 2012 the original idents from February 2011 were withdrawn from the regular rotation and are only played from 1am to 5am.
