On the 6th of April 2009, Paramount Comedy 1 was renamed Comedy Central. Numberous new idents were added. Up to December 2010, each ident had at least 3 soundtracks, this practice has now stopped. Comedy Central was set to launch a new look on the 1st of July 2011, but two days before on the 29th of June during the night schedule 4 junctions played out with the new idents. When the 1st of July came about Comedy Central still used its old idents. The new look was cancelled and only plays out on Comedy Central extra.
